Excerpt...
Bovine somatotropin (bST) is a tool used by dairy producers to enhance milk production and improve the efficiency of dairy operations. bST is a natural protein produced in the pituitary glands of cattle. Milk from cows receiving supplemental bST is unchanged. Supplemental bST use allows dairy farmers to produce more milk with fewer cows.
